FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What age are baby massage courses for?
Baby massage can be started from birth up to pre-crawlers.
  • What should my baby wear?
Dress your baby in comfortable clothing that can be easily removed for massage. Double zip baby grows can be very helpful.
  • What do I need to bring to class?
Pack your usual baby essentials and a towel to lay on and I will sort the rest.
  • Can I bring my partner or a support person?
Right now, classes are limited to one parent per baby to ensure a comfortable and focused environment. However, I completely understand the importance of shared experiences. Therefore, private sessions could be something you would prefer to do as it can offer more flexibility, allowing both parents and/or a grandparent to join. If this is something you'd love to explore, feel free to reach out and we can find the best option for you!
  • Where are classes held?
My classes will be held at Wise Moves Yoga Studio, Falcon. The beautiful Ange has allowed us to use her super cosy space and I’m so excited to start this new journey off there.
  • Can we attend if my baby has recently been vaccinated?
It’s best to wait a day or two after vaccinations before massaging, as your baby may be unsettled. You’re still welcome to attend the session - you can follow along or practice on a doll instead.
  • What oil is used?
I provide 100% Pure Organic Sunflower Oil - unscented, cold-pressed, and vegan-friendly. You'll receive a complimentary 50ml bottle at your first class.
  • Can I bring my own oil?
Yes! If you prefer to bring your own, you are welcome too. I can understand that parents may not want to use certain products on their baby’s skin. Therefore, if you would like to use an alternative for sensitive skin/eczema prone skin. I would recommend Epiderm ceremide cream (not the lotion). Please reach out at any time if there are any concerns.
  • What if my baby cries or falls asleep?
Baby’s always rule the day and will be priority. You’re welcome to feed, cuddle, or change them as needed during class. If your baby is sleeping or not in the mood for massage, you can practice the strokes on a doll instead.
  • What if my baby is unwell or we miss a session?
If you’re unable to attend, we can arrange a makeup session at a convenient time.
  • Who will be massaging my baby?
Only you (the parent or caregiver) will massage your baby. I will demonstrate all strokes on a doll for you to follow along.
  • I’m unable to sit on the floor with baby. Can I still come?
Of course, comfort is key, and we can provide a chair for you. Baby can lay on your lap whilst you follow the movements.
